Design HandmadeResume Hello

Hello.

After graduating from Kent State University with a degree in Visual Communication Design, I swiftly, yet lovingly, left the heart of it all, and moved to Colorado. Initially, I worked for an environmental non-profit, Rocky Mountain Institute, and that is when I started to think about all of the impacts of my work. I have come to realize that we do not need to compromise our designs; we need to make more thoughtful design decisions in order to positively affect our environment. I have continued with this focus through my more recent work with Little Jacket Design Studio, and my own clients today.

In addition to graphic design and the environment, I have recently become fascinated with just how easy it is for things to go in and out of fashion. I am creating a full line of one of a kind women's clothing and accessories. I only sew with 100% repurposed vintage fabrics, threads, buttons and equally sourced upcycled finds such as drapery, table cloths, clothing, linens, et cetera. I see this art as an equal opportunity to positively impact my community. I try to excite people about repurposing the unlikely into the fashionable and therefore maybe keeping just a little bit of fill out of the land.
